Who We Are
A bunch of kids from the sticks.
We're a small team of Aussie wine nerds that felt WINE had to be dragged kickin' & screamin' into the 21st century. We recognise that young folks (like us) have grown up in a very different world, and that means the way we communicate about WINE has to change to remain relevant.
A world without WINE.
Can you imagine it? No vineyards to drive past, farmed by rural families for generations. No friendly reminder of the scarcity of produce, or the heavy hand of time. No universal communicator of time & place that brings cultures together. No canary in the coalmine for climate change. What a horrible place that'd be. That's why we do what we do - to remind people of the relevance of WINE.

COVID + DAILY HAPPY HOURS
When COVID hit, we launched a daily livestream from our winery in the Adelaide Hills. With everyone stuck at home, we felt it important to remind people to 'knock off' at the end of the day - which we did - 200 days in a row.

We Get A Studio!
We took a brief break when lockdowns ended but the audience wasn't letting us move on. So we took a lease on a studio in the city and decided to turn it into a full-on thing!

Adelaide Hills Move
Studios are expensive, and YouTube doesn't pay well - so we had a choice: pay a lease or buy WINE - we chose the wine (right answer). We moved into our winery in the Adelaide Hills, and never looked back!

The Venue
As our audience grew, and we could see the impact it was having. We wanted to help young folks upskill their wine knowledge in-person! We opened our own blind-tasting venue with over 150 wines by the glass.

We recognise that everyone is at a different point in their wine journey, and you need more than just one opinion. That's why we have three hosts, one technical winemaker, one professional and one person who knows absolute f*** all about wine (we love you Henry).

We love all wine. Fancy wine, cheap wine - and everything in between. It's not about it being from a famous vineyard or winemaker, the only thing that matters to us is "is it delicious". More often than not, we get the most excited by wines that are great value! Whether it be a special occasion bottle or a $25 wine that you want to share with loved ones on Wednesday, we just want more people drinking good wine. If it gives bang for buck - all the better.

Because we taste wines completely blind, we often find ourselves in sticky situations. We have said our own wines taste mid without knowing we made them. We have said some good friend's and compatriots' wines are overpriced, the beauty of blind tasting is the liquid in glass has to speak for itself - no favours to brands we want to like us!

Our original name! This is our mantra. This whole thing started because we wanted to talk to "young people about wine" and ditch the pretentiousness that the world of wine often has. We want wine accessible for everyone – No wine nerd credentials required. It's the great cultural communicator, and we want to make it fun, not intimidating.
